TOP STORIESA selection of SXSW experiences
SXSW and its XR programme is now in full swing. I am a big fan of SXSW, which artfully tows the line between high-profile business and dance opportunities. It's the creative technologist's event, and it always profiles some great immersive experiences that people should at least look into. With that, here are some highlight experiences which might be worth peeking at:
Acorn is an AR experience that involves an acorn growing into an oak.
Alone Together is an AR experience that explores familial attachment and virtual beings.
Composition is an interactive experience with a mix of AR and wooden cubes.
Dreams of a Lunatic is a melodic space techno music album using a 360 dome.
GENESIS is a VR experience that shows the lifetime of the Earth and mankind.
Gloaming is a one-hour immersive multi-site VR experience and live performance that simultaneously connects two groups on opposite sides of the world.
Radio Ghost is an app-based ghost-hunt that encourages playful interactions.
Surviving 9/11 is a documentary on the eponymous tragedy.
The Choice explores the debate on reproductive rights.
The Infinite is an immersive experience centred around the International Space Station.
If you're not attending, 18 of the 33 XR experiences will be
