Analysis
Mark Zuckerberg dunked on the Apple Vision Pro in a short video.
In my view, it is just PR. Meta’s CEO knew he would get a slice of the conversation if he posted a video, and coordinated it so that it compares favourably with the Meta Quest 3. By doing this, Meta became the main topic of conversation in tech circles while interest in the Apple Vision Pro is still high.
It also sucks the air out of the conversation. What is more interesting to me is how well the Apple Vision Pro is performing.
Will it move the needle? Possibly. But it makes sure that Meta’s variety of headsets stays front of mind - which Zuckerberg succeeded in doing.
