Introducing the Immersive Wire Chat Companion

A system based on a mix of GPT-4 and my own database. It is built on trusted and up-to-date information on the metaverse and spatial computing, sourced from a curated deck by mysel

One of the most consistent problems I have seen is the lack of good-quality information on the metaverse and spatial computing. Updates are either superfluous, blown out of proportion, or focused on the wrong areas. There’s a waterfall from companies who spill bilge into the news pool. It’s why the Immersive Wire is here; to provide high-quality information to readers.

I also know how important it is to get the right information beyond the weekly format. “What is happening when it comes to funding?” some ask. “Where can I learn more about what Apple has been doing?”

I realised that there is a gap to be filled; where people can seek the information they need in as easy a way as possible, pre-vetted by myself. That is where the Immersive Wire Chat Companion steps in - and you can try the Beta out here (if you have ChatGPT Plus).

What is the Immersive Wire Chat Companion?

The Immersive Wire Chat Companion is a system based on a mix of GPT-4 and my own database. It is built on trusted and up-to-date information on the metaverse and spatial computing, sourced from a curated deck by myself. That means it contains information beyond April 2023 (its latest threshold), and with information that is relevant up to a week previously. Plus, it only contains information I trust to be accurate and important, with no fluff included.

The project is currently in Beta, and only accessible for people with a ChatGPT Plus account. It is also not perfect and may crop up errors over time. But for those who have it, you can have a go when you wish. If you have any feedback, drop me a note at tom (at) immersivewire (dot) com.

What about your thoughts on AI?

In a recent piece, I wrote how I was worried that AI would break away from the heart of what a business does. Some companies are pivoting towards it too hard, and I fear that they are losing sight of their future. Surely the Immersive Wire may risk losing its sights too?

I don’t wish for this to happen. The Immersive Wire Chat Companion is an extension of what I continue to do with the website: to supply high-quality information on the industry. Some prefer newsletters to be kept updated, while others prefer RSS feeds or LinkedIn. I see this as another thread if people prefer, to get on-demand information when they need it.

I hope you enjoy!
